If you travel often and want to turn more of your purchases into points, this card packs in a lot of value. You earn a super-high rewards rate on airline and hotel purchases, and a strong rate on other travel purchases and at restaurants too. There is an annual fee, but it’s pretty moderate and easy to justify thanks to the generous rewards.
The Good
- This card offers a valuable welcome offer for new cardholders: Earn 60,000 bonus points when you spend $4,000 in purchases in the first 3 months – that’s $600 toward your next trip.
The Not So Good
- While the welcome offer and rewards rate are strong, this card does not offer a statement credit to pay for TSA PreCheck®, which some other cards at this level provide.
