The U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card is a new entrant in the world of travel credit cards that also comes loaded with an outstanding suite of everyday rewards: Earn 5X points on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Altitude Rewards Center. Earn 4X points on travel, gas stations, and EV charging stations. Earn 2X points at grocery stores, grocery delivery, dining and on streaming services. Plus, a $30 credit for annual streaming purchases like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify®, Apple Music, Disney+, HBO Max and more!. That’s also all in addition to the $100 statement credit this card offers as reimbursement for your TSA PreCheck ® or Global Entry® application fee every four years. Beyond that, this card continues to stay competitive in the crowded travel rewards space with a very sizeable sign-up bonus if you're a new cardholder. Earn 50,000 bonus points when you spend $2,000 in eligible purchases within the first 120 days of account opening. That's a $500 value redeemable towards travel, gift cards, cash back, merchandise and more.
Where the U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card excels in travel rewards, it stumbles a bit when it comes to other features. This card has a decent ongoing APR for both balance transfers and purchases (16.74% - 24.74% (Variable) APR} but does not feature a period of 0% intro APR for either and also sports a balance transfer fee: either 3% of the amount of each transfer or $5 minimum, whichever is greater. It’s also important to note that this card will eventually start charging an annual fee - the U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card features a $0 introductory annual fee for the first 12 months, after that $95. Still, this is much less than some other competitors on the market offering similar features.
While the U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card may not replace every card in your wallet, it’s the perfect choice for frequent travelers who aren’t afraid of eventually having to pay an annual fee to unlock top-tier rewards.
This card has a travel rewards program that is competitive in the travel rewards space and an exceptionally generous sign-up bonus for those able to meet the spend threshold.
This card charges an annual fee after the first year of card ownership and doesn’t have many features outside of its travel and grocery benefits.
